I have the most thoughtful, fun, and celebratory group of neighborhood moms a girl could ask for. Today I attending a baby shower in honor of one of my mom friends who is about to welcome baby #3. I was asked if I had time to make cookies for the occasion – time? Nobody around here has time but for this mommy to be I’ll rearrange some things to get it done. Last night while the rest of the family was at the homecoming football game I was a busy baker and decorator putting these pink flower or ruffled cookies together. Simple yet girly. For the tags I was told the nursery is decorated with elephants and the family refers to the bump as “sparkle.” I used a scalloped tag with a silver elephant stamp and incorporated a string of rhinestones to add some sparkle. I was honored to be able to a small part of such a special celebration.

This week I made these cute little starfish for a 3rd birthday. These starfish cookies always look so cheerful and happy – love them! To make them a little more girly I added the decorative hangtags with a clam shell stamp and a rhinestone gem to add a little something extra fancy. Happy 3rd Birthday!

Girl Scout Bridging Ceremony September 20, 2015

Last week my neighbor asked if I had time to make 12 cookies for her daughter’s Girl Scout troop.  The girls are celebrating their Brownie to Jr. Girl Scout bridging ceremony today.  I saw an idea for a cake that looked like a Girl Scout vest. I took the idea and modified it into a cookie version.  Half of the vest was brown for Brownies and the other half was green for Girl Scouts.  I used a rainbow ribbon to tie it together and stamped the girls’ troop number on the hangtags. My neighbor is going to finish off the cookies by attaching the new Girl Scout pin onto the hangtag.

Congratulations girls on this very big scouting milestone!
