Cookies for a Tween Birthday

These cupcake cookies are my favorite cookies to make and if the truth be told, one of my favorites to eat! These cookies were made especially for one of my daughter’s friends to celebrate her 12th birthday. I used some of her favorite colors – purple, green and blue to create this bright birthday treats.

Basketball Cookies

After seeing just a few Facebook posts from a co-worker I knew right away her children and her family are the center of her universe. She is constantly posting pictures and comments about the little things she does for each child to make them feel special. This week I reached out to her to see if she’d consider having me make cookies for any of the kids’ upcoming birthday parties or celebrations. She loved the idea and immediately I was on board with cookies for an upcoming housewarming party and cookies to celebrate her daughter’s final basketball game of the season. I got to work using simple round cookie cutters with orange fondant to create a smooth orange finish. To create the lines of the basketball and write the children’s names I used an edible ink pen that is just for this type of thing. Next up…housewarming party cookies!

Valentine's Day Auction Cookies

Last fall I donated 1 dozen Valentine’s Day decorated cookies to a charity auction benefiting United Way of King County. The happy winner received festive red and pink sweet treats to share with her entire team.

Baby Onesies

I can’t think of a better reason to bring a group of co-workers together than to celebrate a first time mom! This group has double the reason to celebrate with two mommies to be. I was asked to make cookies for this special occasion. I have yet to make baby onesie cookies so I was thrilled at the opportunity.
