My step daughter has never been a girly girl. She never really wanted a princess birthday party or anything too girly. We’ve done the horse, dinosaur, bug, and spa parties but never anything all out pink. Last year we skipped the big birthday party because she requested a trip to New York City and Carlo’s Bakery in Hoboken, NJ instead. This year I wanted something special to celebrate her 10th birthday. Ten is a special year because she’s no longer a baby but not quite a teenager. To celebrate this “tween” milestone we decided to combine a glamorous limo ride with a fun and indulgent build your own ice cream sundae bar.
Activity – limo picked each girl up at her home address and took her to a private residence for a build your own ice cream sundae
Decorations – bright animal prints with pink and brown accents
Menu – ice cream and sorbet with an abundance of toppings including chocolate syrup, caramel syrup, marshmallow fluff, maraschino cherries, sprinkles, gummy bears, chocolate chips, nuts, Oreos, and more
Favors – the party favors were my favorite part of this party. I found small hot cold containers and decorated them with animal print ribbon, ice cream embellishments, and personalized sticker labels.
